Every home must have a nook that you can play around with ! My house has one too; we have a console there for a catch all once you enter the house.
The nook evolved from one of the ‘O’ at home magazines ; this Dutch American who got featured had created a chalk board stripping off a vintage mirror and I was so taken by it. It became the starting point for what came next in the nook. The nook has changed from an ikea console now to a rustic wood console over the years but it still remains the most cohesive corner of our home 😊
While this has few of my most fav collections the copper vessel is the utmost fabulous piece I own : found it at home goods (my fav haunt), it’s a single piece of metal with no hinges or joins and incredibly beautiful, made in Italy.
I wish I could travel all over the world and collect my curios from their origins but not all of us are that lucky😀 so I have simple thumbrule if I’m going to buy a piece representing a region then it be better at least have been made in that region. In a nutshell I won’t buy it if the made in tag shows another country 🤫 the African beads /plate / basket and the copper vase all were bought at home goods but with origins from the respective countries.. the elephants on the clock is from India. Recently we have added a beautiful deep blue alabaster continue from Italy to this collection.
I guess every space evolves else it won’t be interesting …. In this case the next to change is very likely the clock ☺️
More next.. how do you veteran bloggers keep this concise 😅
